Hi everyone, I’m so pleased to join this new platform. I never use Facebook anymore so I haven’t been checking in there for a long time.
I got a big surprise last week. I attended a group colour workshop with a local style consultant who did an online colour analysis for everyone before the workshop day. I didn’t think I need one as Imogen analysed me as Spicy when I started the 7 Steps but this consultant told me that because I’m letting my hair go grey I’ve become a soft cool (which seems to be similar to Sophisticated but with yellow greens). It’s really thrown me as I didn’t realise that I could change from warm to cool but when I went to investigate I found a blog post by Imogen saying that it’s possible as you age because you lose warmth in your face, which has happened but I’m not sure that I’ve lost so much of it. Clearly I need to get Imogen to redo my colours and I’m kicking myself I didn’t find out earlier as I was in Melbourne a couple of weeks ago and it would have been fabulous to be draped in person. I really hope I haven’t actually changed to cool as I really love my warm colours, although the cool ones are lovely too, it’s going to take a lot of getting used to that much of a change. I still haven’t quite got over the heartbreak of finding out that I wasn’t a Zesty!
Anyhow here’s a photo of my new umbrella that I bought recently to take on my trip to Japan next month. I thought it would go with the autumn colours and my spicy wardrobe. And a picture of my confusing face 😂
